Joseph Delibertis was immersed in the world of construction from an early age watching his father Otto Delibertis, manage a construction company. “I accompanied him to work whenever possible,” Joe recounts. “Following in his footsteps was not only exciting but inspired me to learn as much as I could about the construction business from the ground up. I started with a shovel in my hand and worked in every facet of the company educating myself through hands-on experience. My approach provided me with an invaluable knowledge base and helped me work my way into a leadership role in my father’s business.”

When his father eventually sold the business, Joe’s passion for the construction industry propelled him on his own entrepreneurial journey. This journey led to the establishment of D&S Elite Construction, Inc., which last month, marked its 16th year of operation. Guided by the values of people, integrity and grit, D&S Elite Construction, Inc. has grown from a crew of five employees to a team of 16 talented and diverse individuals.

A notable instance of this expertise can be seen in the recent announcement by the Lehigh Valley Zoo, where D&S Elite Construction, Inc. is currently constructing a new habitat for red pandas which is slated to open this Spring. Their know-how also extends to the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown where their team works seven days a week constructing and maintaining both animal exhibits and public areas.
