The parish hall of this Reading, Pennsylvania landmark underwent a historic transformation. With a congregation that began in 1763 and an original building completed in 1826, to say Christ Episcopal Church has been a cornerstone in the city of Reading, PA would be an understatement. But to truly be part of a community, you need to serve the community, and the church’s parish hall (built in 1952) does much of that heavy lifting. LEGO ‘Liana’ to make debut at Elmwood Park ZooElmwood Park Zoo announced Thursday the debut of a new life-sized sloth sculpture, made entirely of LEGO® bricks. This one-of-a-kind piece was created by Master Model Builder Mike Nieves at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Philadelphia in Plymouth Meeting. LEGOLAND Discovery Center Philadelphia donated the sculpture to the zoo in honor of the zoo’s new “Harmony Hideaway” exhibit, which features a two-toed Linnaeus sloth named Liana.

Christ Episcopal ChurchIn 1952, Christ Episcopal Church of Reading, Pennsylvania, had a series of 51 Mondrian-style windows installed in their attached Parish Hall. The original 60” h. x 38” w. windows featured a single pane, stained glass and metal frames design that was visually interesting. However, over time, they had lost their functionality, becoming drafty and costly to repair and maintain.
