D&S Elite Construction, Inc. is excited to announce that we are renovated the Habitat HQ building at the Elmwood Park Zoo. We built a new primate exhibit, snake exhibit to house our large red tail boa, “Reptile Row” exhibit with new window exhibits for the Frogs, Western Rat Snake, Turtles, Terrapins, Skunks and more. We also built a new main hall guest space and new work area for the keepers and updating other existing exhibits.
The zoo requested extra custom features including outlets near the ceiling for christmas lights, custom lighting and electrical boxes and a caged walkway between the (Emperor Tamarin and Golden Lion) exhibits for them to run around when the zoo is closed. The new building opened in 2022 for the public.
